Center for Indonesian Medical Students' Activities (CIMSA) is a non-profit and non-government organization that is independent, nationalist, non-political and non-partisan with activity based programs. CIMSA consist of six standing committees related to health issues, that is Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV&AIDS, Public Health, Medical Education, Human Rights and Peace, Research Exchange and Professional Exchange. Having 33 active locals throughout Indonesia, CIMSA is affiliated with International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), the biggest students’ organization in the world who has been recognized by the United Nations.

Sustainable Development Goals

As a medical student organization, CIMSA is dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). Through health campaigns, community outreach, and advocacy, CIMSA promotes public health, disease prevention, and equitable healthcare access. Additionally, it empowers students and communities through education while fostering sustainable practices to reduce waste and environmental impact. By integrating climate action into its initiatives, CIMSA continues to inspire future healthcare leaders to create a healthier, more sustainable future for all.

The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) is a global, non-governmental, non-political organization that represents medical students from over 130 countries and more than 1.3 million members worldwide. Established in 1951, IFMSA serves as a platform for future healthcare professionals to collaborate, engage in medical education, and take action on global health issues. IFMSA is recognized by major global health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and the World Medical Association (WMA). Through its extensive network, IFMSA enables medical students to participate in global discussions, international exchanges, leadership training, and health advocacy initiatives.

Relation With CIMSA

CIMSA is a full member of IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations), a globally recognized organization that connects medical students from over 130 countries. Through its affiliation with IFMSA, CIMSA participates in international exchanges, capacity-building programs, and global health discussions, enabling Indonesian medical students to engage in cross-cultural learning and contribute to worldwide medical and humanitarian efforts.
