SCORP
The Standing Committee on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV & AIDS (SCORA) was established in 1992 under the name Standing Committee on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Disease (SCOAS). It was founded with the aim of actively contributing to interventions related to HIV and AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, and supporting individuals living with HIV and AIDS by reducing stigma and discrimination. SCORA is one of the Standing Committees of IFMSA, which serves as an international organization for medical students worldwide. Over time, SCORA has evolved along with its members, expanding its focus areas to include issues related to sexual and reproductive health. In 1998, SCORA changed its name to Standing Committee on Reproductive Health including AIDS (SCORA). Later, in 2014, it was renamed Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health including HIV/AIDS to emphasize the scope of topics and issues targeted as the foundation of its activities. In March 2019, SCORA underwent another name change to Standing Committee on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV & AIDS, reflecting the broader range of activities developed by SCORA and clarifying the distinction between HIV and AIDS.
