SCOPE

Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE) was established by the International Federation of Medical Students' Association (IFMSA) in 1951, operating in the field of student exchanges to facilitate the desire to gain insights and clinical clerkship experiences for medical students worldwide. IFMSA is divided into five regions: Africa, America, Asia Pacific, Eastern Mediterranean, and Europe. CIMSA Indonesia is part of the Asia Pacific region. SCOPE CIMSA Indonesia itself was founded in 2001 and is currently affiliated with 17 universities spread across Indonesia.

VISION

SCOPE CIMSA serves as a facilitator for a professional student exchange program with well-standardized and well-regulated programs. This ensures that SCOPE CIMSA supports both CIMSA’s vision and SCOPE IFMSA’s vision in achieving global health and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals.

MISSION

To achieve this vision, SCOPE CIMSA is committed to improving the quality of the student exchange system through clear regulations and standards while fostering strong and sustainable communication between local and national levels, as well as with SCOPE NMO within IFMSA. It encourages local divisions to actively develop high-quality projects that meet standardization criteria and provides education and training on exchange programs and soft skills to create competent exchange agents. Additionally, SCOPE CIMSA aims to strengthen relationships with external partners and maintain connections with other relevant stakeholders to ensure the success and sustainability of its exchange programs.
