SCOME

SCOME (Standing Committee on Medical Education) is a division under IFMSA and CIMSA that focuses on improving medical education. Established in 1951, SCOME aims to equip medical students with the necessary competencies to become skilled doctors while advocating for continuous improvements in medical education systems. In CIMSA, SCOME serves as a platform for discussion and access to medical education issues, including curriculum development and student involvement. Currently, SCOME CIMSA has representatives in 21 local CIMSA branches, continuously growing in both quality and quantity. SCOME members play an active role as agents of change, working towards a better medical education system and ensuring equitable healthcare access for all.


Area of Focus

  1. Enhancing the capacity of human resources in the health sector (Human Resources for Health).
  2. Improving and developing medical education resources (Medical Education Resources, Research, and Development System).
 

VISION

The creation of high-quality and highly competitive Indonesian medical human resources who are responsive and capable of adapting to changes on both local and global scales with relevant competencies.
